Skill Path

Skill Path: Follow Your Exam Spec Topic by Topic

Every subject is broken into topics that follow your exam specification in order. You work through a winding skill path, unlocking the next topic only once you have proved you understand the current one.

Topics have three star ratings based on your quiz score. Aim for three stars to show you have truly mastered a topic, not just scraped a pass.

XP and Levels

Earn XP for Every Correct Answer

You earn XP for every correct answer in a quiz. The better your score, the more XP you bank. Completing a topic in one clean run earns a bonus. Your total XP determines your level, which is displayed on your profile and dashboard.

Levels are a measure of consistency across the whole platform, not just one subject. The more topics you master across all your units, the faster you level up.

Hearts and Lives Keep You Focused

You start each day with five hearts. Every wrong answer in a quiz costs you one. Run out and you will need to wait for your hearts to regenerate before you can attempt another quiz.

Hearts are designed to slow down careless guessing and encourage you to think before you answer. They make correct answers matter and wrong answers cost something.

Streaks

Daily Streaks Build Long-Term Revision Habits

Your streak counts how many consecutive days you have revised on XP Revise. It increases by one every day you complete at least one quiz. Miss a day and it resets to zero.

Research consistently shows that spaced repetition across short daily sessions produces far better long-term retention than a single cramming session. Your streak is the mechanism that builds that habit.

Weekly Leaderboards Against Others

The weekly leaderboard on your dashboard shows the top ten students ranked by XP earned since Monday. It resets every week so there is always a fresh chance to climb.
