The WJEC AS and A2 Level Computer Science qualification is divided into five units. Units 1 and 2 form the AS Level, covering the fundamentals of computer science, Boolean logic, data representation, algorithms, databases and computational thinking. Units 3 and 4 extend into A2 Level, introducing object-oriented programming, advanced data structures, computer architecture, operating systems, and compression techniques. Unit 5 is a non-exam assessment completed as coursework.
Every topic on XP Revise is mapped directly to the WJEC specification and written in mark scheme language, so the phrasing you practise here is the phrasing that earns marks in the exam. Each unit has a skill path of ten or more topics. You earn XP for every correct answer, lose a heart for every wrong one, and unlock the next topic when you pass. Flashcards and algorithm tracers are included in every unit for deeper understanding.
XP Revise is built for students studying WJEC AS or A2 Level Computer Science in Wales and England, typically in Year 12 and Year 13 at sixth form or further education colleges. The platform is particularly popular at colleges where WJEC is the chosen exam board, offering a structured, gamified alternative to passive reading or generic revision sites.
